Ours is a unique museum specializing in the quintessence of modern nihonga — Japanese-style paintings of our age. One of the main purposes of establishing the museum was to convey to the wider public the splendor of post-Second World War nihonga. Our collection of over 4,000 works represents an overview of modern nihonga, but our objective stands on more than that. We believe that opening up the future of new nihonga is our real mission. We presume it was the same purpose that inspired Kyujin Yamamoto, who feared stagnation and continued to call attention to the crisis facing nihonga.- Make sure you print out your voucher on A4 size paper.(Any other type of voucher will not be accepted and you might need to buy a new ticket.)

The true story of one of pro wrestling's most charismatic, feared, and beloved icons Who was Maurice the man, and who was Mad Dog the character? Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon was a gold medalist, a pro-wrestling legend, and a pop culture icon - but he was also a son, husband, and father. Mad Dog explores Vachon's career and personal struggles with painstakingly detailed historical research and through both Maurice's own recollections and those of the people who knew him best. As a young man, Maurice could have chosen a dark criminal path, but then wrestling and family changed him. Chronicling his slow but steady rise to prominence across America and internationally in some of pro wrestling's most important territories, this in-depth biography shows how Vachon's life came to be defined by the words of Mark Twain: "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." Fiercely proud, motivated, and supremely talented, Vachon's story is also the amazing tale of how a lifelong make-believe heel became a real-life hero outside of the ring. With a foreword by his brother, Paul Vachon, and an afterword by his widow, Kathie Vachon. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Bob Reed. The Dinosaur Lords: Dinosaur Lords, Book 1 , Hö...

A world made by the Eight Creators on which to play out their games of passion and power, Paradise is a sprawling, diverse, often brutal place. Men and women live on Paradise, as do dogs, cats, ferrets, goats, and horses. But dinosaurs predominate: wildlife, monsters, beasts of burden - and of war. Colossal plant eaters like Brachiosaurus; terrifying meat eaters like Allosaurus; and the most feared of all, Tyrannosaurus rex. Giant lizards swim warm seas. Birds (some with teeth) share the sky with flying reptiles that range in size from bat-sized insectivores to majestic and deadly dragons. Thus we are plunged into Victor Milán's splendidly weird world of The Dinosaur Lords, a place that for all purposes mirrors 14th-century Europe with its dynastic rivalries, religious wars, and byzantine politics...except the weapons of choice are dinosaurs. Where vast armies of dinosaur-mounted knights engage in battle. During the course of one of these epic battles, the enigmatic mercenary Dinosaur Lord Karyl Bogomirsky is defeated through betrayal and left for dead. He wakes, naked, wounded, partially amnesiac - and hunted. And embarks upon a journey that will shake his world. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Noah Michael Levine. R. E. Lee: Volume Two , Hörbuch, Digital, 1, 11...

Volume Two opens in March, 1862 with Lee back in Richmond after a lengthy absence. He was shocked by the chaos and panic evident in the Confederate capital. McClellan had assembled a superbly equipped army of over 100,000 soldiers which Virginians feared might invade at any time. In May, McClellan began to move his huge Army of the Potomac up the peninsula and so close to Richmond that church steeples were within his view. The situation seemed hopeless, especially with another large Union army under General Banks to the north in the Shenandoah Valley. But in late May, after a few weeks of desultory fighting and maneuvering, General Joseph E. Johnston, commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, fell wounded. Lee assumed command. By the end of June, Lee had miraculously driven all Federal forces from the state. With consummate skill, Lee reorganized the Confederate forces and during the following year, with armies half the size of the Union's, defeated one Federal invasion after the other. But time was running out for the South, and omens of coming disaster loomed. Missed opportunities and dwindling manpower were menacing signs. Then, in May, 1863, a triumphant Confederate victory at Chancellorsville was marred by dreadful news: the death of the one man Lee could not afford to lose. Listeners are urged to follow battles using the maps which Freeman himself drew, and which are included in the accompanying downloadable PDF document. PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Library section along with the audio. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Charlton Griffin.
